I Think I've Been Overcharged

It can be worrying to see a higher bill than expected — especially if you didn't mean to purchase anything extra. With PCProtect, this sometimes happens when customers accidentally add extra features, upgrade their protection plan, or activate an add-on without realizing.

The good news? It's usually quick and easy to check and fix.

Check Your Plan Details

Take a moment to review:

  • Your current plan - Are you still on the package you originally chose, or has it changed?

  • Add-ons and upgrades - Look for additional features like VPN, Web Protection, that may have been recently activated.

  • Billing cycle - Was this payment for a monthly renewal, annual renewal, or a new purchase?

Often, an extra charge is linked to a feature you clicked "Activate" on.

How Add-Ons and Upgrades Are Billed

In PCProtect:

  • Add-ons are charged immediately when activated.

  • In some cases, you'll receive a second invoice showing both your original plan charge and the extra payment for the upgrade.

Contact Our Support Team Quickly

If you think you've been charged in error or purchased something by mistake:

  • Get in touch as soon as possible - refund requests are usually easier to process within a certain timeframe.

  • Include your account email, invoice number, and details of the unexpected charge in your message.

  • Let us know if you didn't knowingly activate the add-on or upgrade.

Our team will review your account and let you know if a refund or plan change is possible.

If your PCProtect bill seems higher than expected, it's often due to an accidental upgrade or add-on activation. By reviewing your plan, understanding billing, and contacting support promptly, you can quickly resolve the issue and get back to the level of protection you want.
